Frame interpolation using H.264 syntax element for One segment digital terrestrial television

(in English) This paper proposes a frame interpolation technique using H.264 syntax element for One Segment digital terrestrial television.
A typical situation for watching One Segment digital terrestrial television assumes a screen size of about 2 to 3 inches, such used on a cellular phone. The frame rate is standardized at a maximum rate of 15 frames / second which is less than half the HDTV frame rate. Due to it, a problem occurs for a bigger screen, such as 5-11inches, that the smoothness of a motion is deteriorated. In order to lessen this inconvenience, we developed a frame interpolation technique for One Segment digital terrestrial television. This technique using a syntax element of H.264/AVC makes frame interpolation possible with a platform of limited processing capability as well.
