Structural Change of Organopolysilanes by Ultraviolet Irradiation

(in English) Organopolysilanes have interesting photochemical properties, such as, photodecomposition. Photodecomposition occurs when organopolysilanes are irradiated by ultraviolet light, which curses Si-O-Si and Si-OH bonds. In this paper, the difference of the mechanism of the photodecomposition between poly(methyl-phenyl silane) and poly(silastyrene) by ultraviolet light has been examined.
