(in English) There are various problems in the present generation methods, such as, the drying up of the fossil fuel in the thermal power generation, the radiation leak in the nuclear power generation. Therefore, dye-sensitized solar cells are expected to be used as future clean energy. The theoretical maximum conversion efficiency of the dye-sensitized solar cell is about 33 %. Recently, dye-sensitized solar cells using dye of ruthenium have been fabricated. However, its product is very small, and it is expensive. In this paper, dye-sensitized solar cells are fabricated using dye of red-cabbage. As a result, it is found that the conversion efficiency of the dye-sensitized solar cell using dye of red-cabbage is about 0.45 %.
