Development of microwave dc-SQUID for readout of quantum-bit

A microwave preamplifier which operates at very cold temperature, very low power consumption and very low noise is ideal for the readout of superconducting quantum bits.
To satisfy these requirements, we develop dc-SQUID microwave preamplifiers.
Target signal frequency of the dc-SQUID amplifier is 10~GHz and the requirements are power gain more than 10~dB and a noise level less than few times of the quantum limit.
In this paper, we report the design and the evaluation of the fabricated amplifiers. |
