| (in English) | Wear life tests on the oscillation motion of journal bearings with bonded MoS2 film lubricants were carried out in air and in vacuum. Friction coefficient and wear lives in air are several times larger and several tens of times shorter than those in vacuum, respectively, and the ends of the lives were found to come due to film debonding. Wear lives were governed by shear stresses at the film-substrate interface and the large reduction of wear lives in air was attributed to the large friction in air. | |
