Electrodynamic loudspeakers have inherent nonlinearities generating harmonic and intermodulation distortion in the reproduced sound.
This paper proposes an identification method of linear component in high-order Volterra filters, the method is used to estimate the linear component of some loudspeakers, and the validity of the results is discussed. The Volterra filters are obtained by extending the conventional linear digital filters into nonlinear, and used for identification of nonlinear loudspeaker distortions. It is well known a frequency response method for analysing and sysnthesising of nonlinear identification. In this paper, the method is developed to estimate precisely the linear component only. From the results, it can be found that this method is effective for the identification of linear component in high-order Volterra filters. |
