(in English) An outside corrosion of pipes has been disregarded as a management object in chemistry or petrochemistry plants because an outside corrosion phenomenon has a slow deterioration speed. Therefore, there is danger of a large number of pipes that have past for 30 to 40 years without maintenance; it may cause penetration through pipe due to outside corrosion, and a fatal accident. In such a background, a maintenance work should be carried out in advance. In this research, a database is made from corrosion rates with environmental factors of design information and installation environment of pipes. It is used for a case database. A selection support system that searches corrosion parts using the case database based on the graph theory is constructed and evaluated. Moreover, the decision tree is also used to search the corrosion parts as another approach. In this research, a robust system that can find corrosion rates correctly is constructed by using two approaches.
