Multidimensional tissue shear modulus reconstruction on the basis of tissue displacement vector measurement using lateral modulation

(in English) We are developing ultrasonic (US) displacement vector measurement-based shear modulus reconstruction techniques. To obtain the accuracy of the multidimensional shear modulus reconstruction, the accuracy of lateral displacement measurement must be increased. In this study, for an agar phantom, we used our previously developed lateral modulation methods. The lateral modulations increased the accuracy of the lateral displacement measurement, leading to the success in the accurate and stable shear modulus reconstruction in a lateral deformation case. Summarizing, the lateral modulations enable for the normally deformed tissues (due to heart motion and breath) the reconstruction without the consideration of the direction of tissue deformation. The application of the modulation to the US imaging is also mentioned.
