The clearance of dipole antenna and meander line antenna

(in English) To clarify the electrically occupied space in the vicinity of the antenna, a clearance of antenna is defined by the variable ratio of input impedance in the presence of electrical disturbance to clarify the occupied near space for the antenna operation. This report presents the clearance of meander line antenna which is a miniaturized antenna by folding the elements of half wave length dipole antenna, and also shows that the clearance is determined by the normalized electrical length of feeding element. In the next step, the clearances of folded dipole antennas are examined to reduce the clearance region. The folded dipole antennas are selected to show that the amplitude and phase distributions affect the size of antenna clearance. The numerical simulations result in the reduced clearance in the orthogonal plane to antenna element of folded dipole antennas.
