An Implementation of Operating System Functions for a Reconfigurable System

(in English) Reconfigurable devices have flexible hardware structures and realize high performance with parallelism. Reconfigurable systems use these devices as components of computer systems. It will be necessary to develop advanced OS environments not only for single application but also multiple applications as execution environments in the near future. We are developing a reconfigurable system that uses multiple FPGAs and an OS for it. In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of the OS. It has functions of reconfigurable resource management that control each FPGA as a reconfigurable resource.
