Auto Detection based on The Spectrum Structure

(in English) We propose a new method of auto detection system based on frequency spectrum structure, using scale separation filter. Until now, it was difficult to detect and distinguish low and high sounds which are same tone but belong different octave. We prepared templates of frequency spectrum structure of instrumental sound in each pitch, and subtract the spectrum of low octave from the given original signal. To check the validity of the proposed method, we have carried out some computer simulations for double chords with octave 3rd to 4th. As a result, we were able to estimate chords with accuracy about 80 percent. Especially, we achieved about 98.5 percent accuracy in only 3rd octave case.
