A study on thermoacoustic cooling system for practical use -- Applying membrane for driving loop-tube by low temperature difference --

(in English) In this report, we inserted membrane into loop-tube type thermoacoustic cooling system for the purpose of driving by low temperature. At first, we focused on variation of temperature difference between top and bottom of a stack that position of membrane caused under certain input heat energy. Close distance between membrane and the stack meant high energy conversion efficiency from heat to sound and enabled to drive loop-tube by low temperature difference. The reasons were adjustment of phase difference between pressure and particle velocity at prime mover and decrease of viscous resistance in a stack channel. Next, we focused on lowering input heat energy with membrane at the certain position. It caused shift of phase difference distribution. One of the reasons was that stack’s effect as boundary condition became weak by temperature decrease of top of stack and it made viscous boundary layer thinner.
