Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We evaluated electro-magnetic compatibility (EMC) for wireless equipment terminal devices that can communicate through the human body, from the viewpoint of a slight wireless station which is no need for getting a radio- station-license. The carrier frequency of the transceiver devices with parallel plain antenna electrodes was set to 4.92 MHz. The voltage of 18Vp-p was applied between electrodes. We EMC-tested the devices under single unit and human-body installing respectively, due to the regulations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) of Japan. As single units, they showed negligible electromagnetic radiation that was negligible at the same level as the measurement environment noise. When attached to the human body, they exhibited the maximum electric field of 22.8 dBμV/m at the carrier frequency. The devices as single units and when communicating through the human body were confirmed to satisfy the reference value of electromagnetic field strength indicated in the Japanese Radio Law.
