Measurement of Electric Field by using Di-electric Sphere as Modulated Scatterer

(in English) Electric field measurement system by using di-electric sphere as
modulated scatterer has been developed in order to measure
electromagnetic fields.
This system allows us to measure the field without introducing any
conducting material into the measurement area and with the minimum of
perturbation.
The scattered wave by the scatterer was modulated with vibrating the
position of the scatterer.
The scattered wave was extracted from the received signal which includes
both the direct wave from the source of electromagnetic field and the
scattered wave by using lock-in amplifier which refers the vibration
signal.
The scattered wave strength depends on the vibration amplitude,
dielectric constant, and the radius of the scatterer and agreed
with the calculation of the strength.
