Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) A small RFID tag consists of a antenna and IC-chip, and its size is several mm. Because antenna gain is very small and impedance matching is poor, an ordinary Reader/Writer (R/W) can not read the small RFID tag. In this paper, we propose the method being able to improve the performance of a small RFID tag by putting a half wave length metallic wire in the vicinity of the small RFID tag. This method can increase antenna gain and improve impedance matching of a small RFID tag. The use of the half wave length metallic wire makes it possible to read the small RFID tag by the ordinary R/W.
