Fiber to the home において広く用いられている光コネクタの低価格化に向け、構成部品における主なコスト要因となっているフェルールを各種材質で作製する試みがなされて来た。最も広く普及しているジルコニアフェルールと新規材質の結晶化ガラスフェルール、プラスチックフェルール、Ni フェルール間のPC 接続の信頼性について解析したので、これら結果をまとめて議論する。 |

Ferrules made from various materials have been developed to reduce the cost of optical connectors for Fiber to the home. This paper reports the analyzed results of the reliability of the PC connections between currently used zirconia ferrules and newly developed glass ceramic ferrules, plastic ferrules, or Ni-ferrules. |
