Performance of the supercomputer will achieve 10 peta flops and the number of nodes will become more than 10 thousand in 2012. It is difficult to make optimized application codes for the high-end massive parallel computer. In order to design the computer system on which an application code is executed efficiently, performance analysis method is studied to get the balance of hardware configuration for 10 peta flops scale supercomputer, in this paper. Applying this method to 5 scientific application codes, our method provides the quantitative analysis about the performance ratio of communication throughput to floating point operation and the performance ratio of data transfer to floating point operations. |
