Performance evaluation of Disaster Recovery System using Grid Computing technology

(in English) Grid computing technology is expected to realize an effective and economical back up system by making use of tremendous amounts of PCs. In particular, the Grid computing technology using distributed data back up mechanism will be utilized in government and municipal offices, hospitals, insurance companies and so on in case of unexpected disaster occurrences such as earthquakes, or big firers. We already studied the data file back up procedure, and the relation attributes between data file capacity and number of file duplicates using Grid computing mechanism.
In the paper, we assume a practical network environment where various speeds of line exist. We proposed two kinds of efficient transmission methods of dividing data for the system. We evaluated the proposed two methods of dividing data from the point of data processing time.
