Analysis of Wide Angle Beam Scanning Abilities of Shaped Dielectric Lens Antenna by EM Simulator

(in English) For the Intelligent Transportation System, authors developed the shaped dielectric lens antenna that was capable of wide beam scanning. Moreover, in order to improve beam scanning characteristics, an array feed configuration was investigated. And improvements were ensured through the ray tracing method. In this paper, an electromagnetic simulation is employed in order to estimate more strictly. First of all, in order to clarify simulation accuracy, calculated and measured results are compared in the single feed antenna. Next, simulation results of the array feed antenna are shown. The effects of array feed are ensured through aperture distributions and radiation characteristics.
