Dual Resonance Folded Dipole Antenna for Digital Television

(in English) Wireless communication systems have been developed increasingly in a past few years, and the wideband antennas are requested in various fields. As one of candidate for the wideband antenna, we have proposed wideband folded dipole antenna. In this article, the folded dipole antenna is applied to on-glass digital television antenna attached to the vehicle, and its size reduction is studied. The antenna size is miniaturized by cutting portions where simulated current densities are negligible. As a result, the wideband antenna is realized with line width of only 0.5mm and the antenna performs VSWR < 3 and antenna gain > 0dBi in the bandwidth of 470 - 770MHz.
