Work support system by using a USB camera for people with higher brain dysfunction

(in English) Persons with higher brain dysfunction have executive impairment, attention deficit, and/or memory disorder. These difficulties result in the need for assistive technologies (ATs) to achieve tasks at work. To overcome the difficulties, we figured out, through two experiments, that the ATs should have the following functions: providing the adequate amount of instructions in the right time, recording and evaluating the result of actions, and providing the feedback to tell errors and how to fix them. We are developing a new work support system with these functions. It can process images from a USB camera and evaluate not only tasks in computers but also tasks in a real world. In this paper, the results of experiments and the design and implementation of the system are described.
