[Special Talk] On joint research activities with universities in India

(in English) Infrastructural technologies required for highly advanced wireless communications and optical communications supporting ubiquitous information society are investigated under a collaboration of 5 universities in Japan and 6 institutions in India. The core subjects covered the project are analysis, modeling, and design of (1) miniaturized, broadband, and highly functional antennas and novel wireless LAN systems for multimedia use of wireless communications and (2) advanced optical fiber devices and integrated optical devices for use in DWDM and all optical systems in future optical communications.
