Consideration on the Effect of Coupling Component of the Multi-Band Antennas with Single-Feed

(in English) The multi-band antenna with single layer and single feed is an attractive antenna for mobile communication, such as, ITS, GPS and so on, because of its small and low profile configuration. Many studies as to this type of antenna have been performed so far, however, many important technical points have not been clarified yet. In this paper, first, we present the effect of the coupling element which plays an important role of realizing good antenna characteristics, such as, return loss by using Package Soft( Ansoft Designer). Here, we used three types of coupling elements, that is, straight line, meander typed line and circular line. By applying the simulation procedures obtained here, next, we designed dual and triple band micro-strip antennas. And also discussed the circularly polarized characteristics of this antenna.
