A Deterministic Cancellation Matrix Estimation Scheme in Heterodyne Multimode Receivers

(in English) When we realize multimode receivers using heterodyne reception, the image-band interference arises and deteriorates transmission performance significantly because of removal of radio frequency filters. Therefore, cancellation methods using Hilbert transform have been proposed, however, this method cannot remove the interference completely because of imperfectness of the Hilbert transformer. Then, in this report, we propose a scheme to cancel imperfectness of the transformer with cancellation matrix in intermediate frequency. In this scheme, we use downconverion not only to receive the desired signal but also the image-band signal and estimate the cancellation matrix using correlation matrix of these two signals. We describe that this scheme has superior estimation and cancellation performance.
