Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) An RF-IC for multi-mode cognitive wireless system is required multi-band / multi-mode characteristics. One of the difficult issues for multi-band / multi-mode RF-IC is to lower the Tx spurious. In this paper, 2$f_{LO}$ LO switching configuration is proposed for low Tx spurious characteristics. Theoretically, this configuration doubles offset frequency of adjacent Tx spurious in FDD mode, compared to the conventional configuration. The direct conversion transceiver MMIC using 2fLO LO switching configuration is fabricated in 0.18m SiGe-BiCMOS process. Measured results show a high accurate modulation characteristics over 400M-6GHz, and low Tx spurious characteristics in FDD mode.
