A simple color reproduction system for telemedicine using cell phone with camera

(in English) Because of remarkable progress of the recent IT technology, some high accuracy color reproduction systems are developed. However, these systems are too expensive to use for telemedicine. So we propose a simple color reproduction system using cell phone with camera. In our system, object and color chart are captured as still image on transmitter and receiver side. Next, piecewise linear mapping is estimated to reproduce color so that each correspondent color in color chart in both images is matched. Finally, it is suggested that adequate accuracy color reproduction is possible by this system using cell phone with camera through experiments using static images in various lighting conditions.
