Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We consider the problem of moving target tracking in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). In the previous study, we proposed a simple multi-point surveillance scheme of a moving target and demonstrated that this scheme achieves high tracking probability with low power consumption. However, we did not consider how to desgin the WSN in order to achieve a wide range of user requirements completely. Therefore, in this present study, we focus on the relationship between tracking probability and sensor density under the proposed scheme and show an approximation formula among them. As a result, we demonstrate that sensors density achieving the user requirements (tracking probability and the number of monitoring sensors) can be flexibly estimated through the proposed equation.
