Evaluation of Learning Capabilities of BP Networks to Number of Input Signals
Shunsuke Kobayakawa, Hirokazu Yokoi (KITGS) SANE2007-116
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In general, BP network which learn a time series signal using one teacher signal and one input signal is that two teacher signal values or more correspond to same an input signal value occasionally. In such a state, the BP network cannot be learned. There is a technique adding input signals to the BP network etc. to solve this problem. In this research, we evaluated their learning capabilities using two nonlinear prediction system neuron networks with different number of input signals, to research what influence to learning capability in the adding input signals to the BP network. And, it was shown that the learning capability was high when there were a lot of numbers of input signals in conditions of this experiment.
