The multi-port parasitic array radiator (MuPAR) antenna features multiple active elements connected with RF ports and multiple parasitic elements that are loaded with tunable reactance. In this paper, we give a criterion on how to optimize the reactance values. Applying the optimization method to a beamforming problem in wireless network, we avoid the long training period by selecting pre-optimized reactance values from a table. Results show that the proposed method realizes fast beamforming of the MuPAR antenna and achieves sufficient interference suppression. |
