Acceleration of three dimensional information acquisition of a knee joint using CUDA

(in English) Acquisition of the precise three-dimensional information of knee joint is useful for the diagnosis and treatment. We have enabled the acquisition of dynamic three dimensional knee joint information by performing 2D/3D registration with the consecutive two-dimensional X-rays images and a three-dimensional CT image. However, it requires enormous time in this 2D/3D registration. In this paper, we propose to speed up these processing, mainly projection calculation, by using CUDA(Compute Unified Device Architecture) with GPU (graphical processing unit).
