In DSA, an arterial vessel image is obtained by performing a subtraction process between the image before injection of vessel agent( MASK image ) and the image after injection ( LIVE image ).
The slight head motions on injection generate displacement between the MASK image and the LIVE image, remaining the motion artifact.
In order to improve the arterial vessel image by eliminating or decreasing the motion artifact, we have proposed a local registration method.
However, the effect of arterial vessel regions in the LIVE image prevent from eliminating the motion artifact perfectly.
The purposes of this paper are to investigate the effects of arterial vessel regions in the registration process, and to propose a new registration method by considering the effects.
Additionally,we proposed a new filter to improve the arterial vessel image in DSA.
From computer experiments, we succeeded to improve the arterial vessel image with our new registration method.
In the arterial vessel images, we can easily observe arteriole blood vessel regions.
Our method is a practical registration method in improving the arterial vessel image in DSA. |
