[Special Talk] Development of Broadband Infrastructure on Remote Isolate Islands

(in English) It is very difficult to develop broadband infrastructure in remote areas, such as, isolate islands and mountain regions. This is because the development is too expensive for local governments or telecommunications carriers, even though there are no technical difficulty. It is likely that people in remote areas will develop Community Broadband infrastructure by themselves if some low price methods are proposed. So I have suggested the lower cost Community Broadband model by research and development of Internet access line sharing and wireless LAN regional network in remote isolate islands in Kagoshima.
