Acceleration of time domain acoustic field simulation using GPU -- Comparison between DHM and FDTD --

(in English) In this paper, a Graphic processing unit (GPU) is applied to the acoustic field simulation in order to achieve the high computing performance. Two numerical methods are implemented on the GPU; one is digital Huygens' model (DHM) method and the other is the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method. The calculation performance is evaluated for two-dimensional sound field. A FDTD algorithm which is particularly effective for GPU architecture is proposed in which the shading program is described as one shader. The calculation performance is theoretically predicted based on GPU architecture.
