Frequency spectra of chaotic oscillations in the PLL circuit driven with a non-sinusoidal signal

(in English) It has been reported that the white noise can be generated from the chaotic PLL circuit of which the dynamics is compatible with a forced pendulum, when driven with a sinusoidal force. For this case we can interpret the oscillation phenomena of the PLL based on the physical model for the motion of a particle in a periodic potential. Noting that the drive function for the PLL is compatible with the instantaneous grade of the potential in the physical model we attempted to use the non-sinusoidal function as the drive force instead of the sinusoidal drive. Consequently the obtained frequency spectra of chaotic oscillations did not depend on the frequency below the drive frequency even when the square wave as well as the triangle wave was used as the drive signal. In addition, the drive with the frequency-modulated sinusoidal wave is also found to be effective to obtain the similar spectra for the chaotic oscillations. In this case the chaotic oscillation is more easily obtained when compared to the other periodic function drives.
