Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In the RFID systems, a circularly polarized antenna for the reader device will give stable wireless communication regardless of the orientation of IC tags. The operation bands assigned in various countries for the UHF-band RFID systems are included from 860 through 960MHz. Thus the good axial ratio characteristics is required over the above frequency band. In this work, we provide a wideband circularly polarized antenna comprising two monopoles, a finite ground plane and a single feeding point. This antenna has a compact flat shape and radiates circularly polarized waves in the normal directions to the antenna plane.
