(in English) Recently, RFID technology is gaining much interest in various industries and becoming utilized in various forms. It is expected RFID will become a key enabler in realizing efficient collaboration among multiple organizations in addition to that within a single company. EPCglobal is a standardization organization for RFID-based total supply chain management and promotes a reference architecture of network-oriented RFID systems called “EPCglobal Network.” EPCglobal Network defines a number of components and interfaces between them, which includes unique identification codes stored in RFID tags, radio communication between RFID tags and readers, and interfaces for sharing RFID data among organizations. This paper describes an overview of EPCglobal Network and interfaces comprising the Network.
