A Study on Throughput Performance in Stop-And-Wait ARQ of Multihop Networks using LDPC Codes

(in English) Multi-hop ad-hoc networks are promising candidates for next generation wireless communications because of their high applicability to various new communications. Generally, when signals are transmitted over multi- hop wireless channels, an automatic-repeat-request (ARQ) scheme is required on every hop in order to maintain reliability of transmissions. In this paper, we propose a new ARQ scheme suitable for multi-hop wireless networks with powerful error correction codes, such as low-density parity check (LDPC) codes. The proposed scheme works effectively by the capability of LDPC codes. Throughput performance of the proposed scheme is studied in order to clarify its effectiveness.
