A Counter-based broadcasting scheme for smooth diffusion

(in English) Broadcasting is widely used in node discovery protocol or rout discovery protocol or data transmission. In mobile ad hoc network the broadcast storm problem is a serious one, so there has been many proposal for reducing packets. But their attention is focused on re-broadcast ratio and reachability. We think smooth propagation is also important in wide network. In this paper, we present an new re-broadcasting algorithm based on counter-based scheme that aim to propagate the packet smoothly, i.e. low deviation of latency. Simulation results show our proposal reduce the standard deviation of latency by 10%.
