A Study of Simulation on Optical Magnetic Field Probes

(in English) In order to perform magnetic near-field measurement with high accuracy in the GHz frequency range, we are developing an optical magnetic field probe using an electro-optic crystal and a laser beam for signal transmission. In this paper, we report the result of FDTD method simulation analysis on the frequency response characteristics of electro-optic probes up to 100GHz and the invasiveness to the electromagnetic field distribution above a microstripline, for the purpose of verifying measurement accuracy and making design guideline of electro-optic probes.
