Improvement of Wireless Communication Access Protocol ARIB STD-T67 -- Packet Restraint Protocol within Proximal Transponders --

(in English) We are currently developing a Regional Protection System in Nagano Prefecture Shiojiri City. In this system, terminals that children have regularly send packets. The packets are then transmitted to a server via multi-hop network which is set up some transponders. Therefore, the position of children can be inferred from that information. In this system, we use ARIB STD-T67 of the specific low power radio as the communications protocol.
In certain situations that sent packets from terminals are received by multiple transponders, duplicate packets that are sent by each transponders cause highly-loaded network traffic. A new access protocol is developed in this research to deal with this problem. In this protocol, such duplicate packets transmission is suppressed, and then a load of the traffic is reduced. In this presentation, we propose this new access protocol, and evaluate its effectiveness.
