Using Ontologies for Scenario and Goal based Requirements Elicitation
Motohiro Kitamura, Motoshi Saeki (Tokyo Tech.) KBSE2007-56
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Although requirements analysts elicit requirements by using goal-oriented and scenario-based analysis method, they do not always elicit complete and correct requirements. We define two types of ontology which 1) abstracts business process based on case frame structure of natural language and 2) systematizes knowledge about objects in a problem domain. We propose a technique to support describing new scenarios and discovering new goals by using concepts, relations, and inference rules in the ontologies. Our case study shows that our method could elicit requirements of higher quality with our supporting tool.
