Blue, red and white organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) with two phosphorescence materials, bis[(4,6-difuluorophenyl)-pyridinato-N,C2’](picolinate iridium(III) [FIrpic] and tris(1- phenylisoquinoline) iridium (III) [Ir(piq)3], were fabricated and investigated. For the white OLEDs, the maximum Luminance of 1400 cd/m2 and the max efficiency of 7.5 cd/A were obtained. Also, the possibility of color tunable white organic light-emitting diodes using the difference of response characteristics of each device driven by pulse voltage was investigated. At pulse voltage driving, chromaticity coordinates at CIE chromaticity diagram were changed from (x, y) = (0.35, 0.40) to (x, y) = (0.45, 0.39). This change is considered to be caused by the difference of pulse characteristics between two phosphorescence materials driven by pulse voltage. This result suggested that white organic light-emitting diodes using the difference of response characteristics of each device driven by pulse voltage can be expected to be applied to color tunable light-emitting devices. |
