Chaotic Resonance in a FitzHugh-Nagumo Type Model of the Inferior Olieve Neuron

(in English) Recently, it was demonstrated by Schweighofer et al. in computer simulation for their compartmental model that chaotic irregular firing can be produced by moderate electrical couplings in the inferior olive(IO) network, and rich error signals for efficient cerebellar learning may be allowed by this chaotic effect. As an another type of IO neuron model, Velarde-Llin$\acute{a}$s model is proposed, which proved to be consistent with experimental data in all main features of IO neuron membrane potential dynamics. In this paper, we investigate the chaotic response of this model to input signals and evaluate the characteristic of input-output correspondence from the viewpoint of chaotic resonance.
