Optical radiation force is an important phenomenon for the manipulation of micro dielectric objects in fluid. a micro object with higher refractive index than surrounding liquid is trapped around a laser focal point, on the other hand, a micro object with lower refractive index is subjected to an optical repulsive force. Flow control of the micro objects is performed by the optical repulsive forces at multiple focal points generated with a computer-generated hologram. |
