Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this paper, we discuss Harmonic Component Analysis (HCA)
as a framework for blind source separation of music signals.
In Independent Component Analysis (ICA), which has been widely
used for blind source separation,
the separation is realized based on the assumption that
source signals are mutually independent,
where more observation signals than source signals are required.
While, in the case of music signals,
not independency but harmonicity on each time frame can be assumed
because they consists of tones with stable pitches.
Focusing on the properties,
HCA aims to separate sources by maximizing harmonicity of sources,
which will be effective for underdetermined mixtures
due to introducing harmonicity,
which is stronger assumption than independency.
In this paper, we present formulation based on the
harmonicity criterion represented quadratic form of observation
signals, and results of fundamental simulative experiments.
