| (in English) | In this paper, a novel ultra-wideband (UWB) bandpass filter (BPF) having sharp attenuations and wide stopbands is designed with a combined used of a microstrip stub-loaded ring resonator and step-impedance dual-mode resonators. The UWB filter has a midband frequency of 4.1GHz, and a fractional bandwidth of 34.1%. Advantages of both the stub-loaded ring resonator and the step-impedance dual-mode resonator are exploited, and a UWB filter having sharp attenuations near the passband and very wide stopbands is realized, which meets Japan’s low-band limit for UWB applications.
