We developed an effector which used a 24-channel loudspeaker array and could be controlled sound field spatially in live concerts. The system was designed to realize a change of the sound field within 1 ms. The variable delay circuits and the communication circuit between the hardware and the control computer are implemented on the FPGAs. All of the delay data which are calculated in advance are stored in the memories of the FPGA and only the simple command is sent from the control computer. |
