Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page) 
(in English) IPRM2008 was successfully held in Versailles during May 25-29, 2008. Topics in the field of optoelectronics devices were photonic integration circuits for the photonic packet switching and the advanced transmission formats such as DQPSK. Heterogeneous integration of III-V optoelectronic devices on silicon was discussed. The directly modulated lasers for constructing the low cost transmitters were also discussed.
