Mammography is best role for the early detection of breast cancer. Because of this, it has been introduced in mass screening. Therefore it is expected to develop a computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) system to support radiologists. Some studies for classification scheme of breast masses and microcalcifications have been reported. However, it was not always easy to recognize the output of CAD because it was a method to show only a detection result. Therefore, we have been developing a scheme that classify the categories of the lesion department and propose the reasons of the classification result. As a result of classification of our method by using our database and Digital Database for Screening Mammography : DDSM, the classification rate was 75.6% and 76.1%. Moreover, we studied on comprehensive visualization of CAD output. |
