Analysis of 3rd-Order Passive Intermodulation gernerated from Metallic Materials

(in English) This report presents an analysis method of current-mode passive intermodulation generated from a conductive material in microwave band.
Nonlinear electric field dominated by the implied current is introduced into FDTD method, and its validity is verified through an experiment using a microstrip line and a wire-conductor. In this examination, only the 3rd-order nonlinear term is formulated, and its expansion coefficient is determined with an experimental result. The 3D-calculation for a wire conductor in an open-ended coaxial tube shows a good agreement with the experimental result, which indicates the validity of the proposed method.
The results for a microstrip line also follows the experimental result, however, discrepancy is larger than that of the coaxial method. It is also presented that subtracting the linear response from the nonlinear one is effective to reduce the FDTD-computing time
